The World According To Jake

SONG "LITTLE STAR" WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY MADONNA

Jakes 4th Birthday

Well My Punk, you now are four,

Despite all the time we spend together, I still want more

6:30am I get my wake up call,

"Mama, can I get outta bed" you say, as your feet hit the floor

Then off for some "Pamcakes" and berry milk too,

Watching Polar express or sometimes Pingu

You hang with your cousins and play King & Queen,

Make food with Playdoh or play the piano & sing

You sing my humps or pump it and do your little dance

Wigglin your duppa then you do the Black Eyed Peas stance

Your favorite restaurant is Louies or should I say the hot dog store

You love to hear them shout "Order Up" and watch people walk in the door

You order one with just ketchup, and ask if they have "loot beer"

Then you sit & wait for your order, in favorite green chair

When Shy and Lily are over, the house becomes a zoo,

With you and Shaiann running around, while Lily sits and coo's

And when your cousin gets hungry, your the first one on the couch,

To feed Lily her bottle, and laugh at her cute little mouth.

You tell me Lily is your favorite toy, you love to make her giggle

And if the funny face doesn't work, you resort to the tickle

Grammy comes over every day and on Tuesdays Mama leaves,

I swear I hear as I walk out the door "Grammy, can we play hide & seek"

But I know you wouldn't ask that because Mama says not in the house,

As I come back home and open the door your as quiet as a mouse

So I come inside and look for you, my son that is not hiding

Walk in your room, open the closet door, and there you are smiling

Boo, you shout as I open the door and I ask if your playing hide & seek

No, you say looking me straight in the eyes, your such a little sneak

Well thats okay my lil man, Mama's on to your game, and your little

accomplice that rhymes with Sammy, I will not name no names.

Well the day is almost over, and you, your off to bed

Holdin Nana tightly with the blankets over your head,

As for me I lay and think about the things we did this day

sometimes I even laugh out loud thinking of the things that you say

And as I doze off and fall asleep, your the last thought in my head

I can't wait for the morning, to hear my favorite words, "Mama, can I get outta bed"

Jakes 3rd Birthday

My how you have grown in this past year,
You went from diapers to underware

You put on your socks, undies and pants,
When it comes to your shirt you remind me you can't

But I know you can when you give it a try,
The thunder outside now makes you cry

You love to go to Grammys house to swim or jump off the diving board at Aunt Amy's and grin

Into 9ft of water, it scares Mama to death
this summer you learned how to hold your breath

We hang out at Crosby and you and Korey play tag, whenever we fish your pole ends up with a snag

On Monday and Thursday you and Lucas hang,
On Sundays you chill with the rest of the gang

You love to eat canollies & you tried your first calzone
you like to sit and talk to Gram on the phone

You love to watch Thomas the train on Tv
you can name every train, you amaze me

You tell me you have a girlfriend, her name is Stephanie
You laugh and try to follow Korey up a tree

You speak in full sentences and you make up great stories, Your always making fun of poor Dorky Korey

You make me laugh each and every day,
I can't believe some of the things that you say

I love being your Mama, I would never change a thing,
Kid, you'll never know how much joy you bring.

Jakes 2nd Birthday

Jacob Metzger you are Two,

A whole year passed while you watched Blue

Ice cream and popcorn are your favorite treats,

Watching Buzz Lightyear on your favorite seat

Running through puddles, drawing clues on the floor,

Crying as Mama tries to sneak out the door

Boy, this past year has taught Mama alot,

I never thought I would happily wear a shirt full of snot

But Baby its worth it, all the boogies and "poot",

You sneeze in my face and I think isn't he cute

Your learning your ABC's, love looking at books,

You push Brum on the floor while you watch Mama cook

You love it when Blub-Blub puts Chad on your arm,

I never imagines you would have so much charm

You follow me all day saying "Hella, What you doin?",

Give me that grin and I know troubles brewin

You get time outs for pushin your lil cousin Luke,

Then pat him on the head like the push was a fluke

You have to have Nana when you go to bed,

Always checking with Mama to say Go Ahead

First thing out of bed you want a walk or some M's,

Sometimes poor Mama cant keep up with your stems

We talk about cars, buses and trucks,

When you take a bath its with eleven ducks

I ask "where's my Homie", you make a homie stance,

You watch music videos and do a cute dance

You dance and you twirl while you and Blub-Blub watch Ellen,

When The Price Is Right comes on you cant help but yellin

"COME ON DOWN" is what I hear the whole hour its on,

When the shows over we sing the Spongebob song

Having you is the greatest thing Mama has done,

Jacob Metzger you are Mama's perfect son.

I LOVE YOU MY LIL HOMIE :)

Jakes 1st Birthday

Once upon a time lived a lil man named Jake,

Spoke a weird language and liked to help Grammy bake

Blue was his favorite and he liked Dora too

Had to drink a lot of prune juice to help with his poo

Has to change his shirt twice a day because of the drool

Loves to take baths, think I’ll get him a pool

Wakes up in the morning, chats with his bottle

Knows how to walk, how I love that waddle

Goes to sleep every night cuddling banana

Sweats so darn much think I’ll get him a bandana

His colored beads are his favorite toy

Mommy really loves her monkey boy

He has little teeths, and big giant feets

Thinks fans are neat and enjoys his sweets

Has a pet fish, his name is Guppy

Always comes running if you yell out "hey puppy"

Eats yogurt for breakfast, bologna for lunch

Enjoys his teddy grams, he eats a whole bunch

Watches Madonna videos while dressing, snores while he’s resting,

He is Mommy’s blessing

He’s gonna be a year old, a week from today

Makes Mommy laugh every day

Well Mommy has to stop your nap time is through

I can’t imagine my life without you.
